June 29th, 2009 | BlueSky
Early Pay received enhancements with the recent 2.01 BlueSky update. Let’s highlight the great features now available for use. Many clients have asked:
- What if I haven’t closed out invoicing?
- Or, what if I have moved the pay week forward and recieve a late Early/Daily Pay timesheet?
Before we jump into the answers, let’s first talk about the four basic steps of Early Pay.
- Go to Payroll —> Employee TimeSheets, and filter to the Correct Payweek.
- Choose the Caregiver eligible for Early Pay —> Make changes to their Timesheet in BlueSky if needed —> then Check “Include in Early Pay.”
- Add any additional payments needed for the Caregiver. (Reminder: make sure you check “Include in Early Pay!”
- Select “Pay Employees” —> Choose “Early Pay” with Correct Date —> and Press “OK.”

Congratulations! You have successfully completed Early Pay – wasn’t that easy?!
With the basics out of the way, now we can tackle those FAQs.
- If you haven’t closed out invoiving and another employee needs Early Pay for the same day, re-run Payroll using the steps above.
- And, frustrations from paying for closed out invoices are alleviated with Early Pay. BlueSky allows you to pay a Caregiver for past dates right on Today’s Early Pay Payroll! In this situation, BlueSky prompts a confirmation since you are selecting to pay for old timesheets.
